Switching to Notion
For a while now I've been using a variety of apps to manage my life
- TickTick as a To Do list
- Notability for university notes
- Apple Reminders as a To Do list
- Apple Notes, for quick hand written notes with Apple Pencil
I am now going to try migrate all this to notion, and seeing whether it'll be able to replace all these apps for me.
A big reason for switching is my typing speed is much higher than my handwriting speed, so while Apple Pencil is amazing, I feel like typing would be more beneficial for me.
Also, I am going to use notion to help build my new blog, which I am integrating into my existing website, it seems like the ideal JAMStack CMS. I am a little sad as I only just rebuilt my blog from scratch with Gatsby, a few months ago. But it looks like NextJS is going to be pretty amazing. I'll have to see whether I use Vercel or Netlify to deploy eventually. At least I can reuse my React Components.
If you see this, the plan was successful, hope you enjoy the future articles 😄
